There are a variety of deities and powers that are worshiped by the people of Mythosa. Most of the more powerful of them would be classified as evil or amoral by philosophers; these are the survivors of the Divinity War, a great deific battle that took place centuries ago. Some worship of these gods is from those seeking power, pleasure, or blessings on particular endeavors. The rest comes from people who simply wish to appease the gods to avoid disease, death, or other unpleasant situations.
