TableSmith

Create, edit, and use tables for virtually anything in your campaign - monsters, treasure, inns...you name it! Link to other tables for unlimited flexibility, create maps out of random tiles, and even export favored results to HTML! You can even archive and retrieve your TableSmith results through an Explorer-like interface, and have all your generated information easily available.

TableSmith 5.1
TableSmith requires the .NET Framework 2.0, available from Microsoft (note that you may already have the framework installed; this is certain if you are using Vista or Windows XP SP2).

This program is for Windows (98/ME/2000/XP; 95 is not supported). VISTA USERS: By default TableSmith installs into Program Files but you are advised to install it into a different folder, such as your User folder. Installing into Program Files may cause you problems.

TableSmith Update: If you've already installed TableSmith 5.0, download this file and copy the files to your TableSmith folder. These files will update you to version 5.1

TableSmith Help: This is the latest version of the TableSmith help file (the same file that is included in the program). It is provided here to give an overview of TableSmith's functionality as well as to provide a permanent home for people wishing to link to the file.

TableSmith eXpress 1.0 / Namemaker 1.0
TableSmith eXpress ("TSX") is the PalmOS version of TableSmith. It includes tables for Angel/Demon Names, Arabic Names, Book Titles, Celtic Names, Dwarf/Norse Names, Elf Names, Fantasy Names I, Fantasy Names II, Herb Names, Lizardfolk Names, Lovecraft, Orc Names, Orc Tribes, Organizations, Shakespearean Insults, Tavern Names, and Town Names.

Namemaker is a simpler, quicker version of TSX. If you just want to generate names or if TSX is too slow for you, Namemaker may be a better choice. It comes with all the above tables.

The installations above are the demonstration versions of TableSmith eXpress and Namemaker. The full verions are US$5.00. If you want to unlock their full functionality, click the button below. Note: TSX and Namemaker require PalmOS 3.0 or higher, though they may not work with version 5.4 of the PalmOS (such as what Palm T|X uses).

After your payment is processed, you will be sent a registration code. In either program, tap the "About..." menu option (under "Help"), enter the code and tap "Register". You will then have the full functionality of TableSmith eXpress or Namemaker. Note that the same code will work for both programs (i.e.; the $5 covers both), though you'll need to enter it separately for each one.

IMPORTANT: Please try the demo version(s) before buying the full version(s) to make sure TSX or Namemaker works acceptably for you; there is no refund once you've been sent a registration code.
